Railway makes every effort to transport agricultural materials to help spring ploughing

Spring ploughing is on the way, and farming is urgent. The railway conscientiously implements the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, makes overall plans for epidemic prevention and control and agricultural production in spring, and makes every effort to do well in the transportation of agricultural materials such as spring ploughing and preparation for ploughing in 2020, so as to provide a strong transportation support for winning the epidemic prevention and control resistance war and achieving the economic and social development goals and tasks of the whole year.

As of February 24, the transportation volume of chemical fertilizer and pesticide of the national railway this year has reached 8.55 million tons, an increase of 571000 tons or 7.2% year on year.

In view of the special situation of limited road logistics in some areas during the epidemic, China National Railway Group Co., Ltd. cooperated with the national development and Reform Commission to issue a special notice to strengthen the protection of railway transportation capacity and help enterprises overcome logistics difficulties. The railway insists on taking agricultural related materials such as chemical fertilizer and pesticide as the key transportation points, inclines the transportation capacity, innovates the transportation organization mode, and assists in the preparation of spring ploughing.

Each railway bureau group company strengthens the contact with local agricultural material departments and production and marketing enterprises such as chemical fertilizer, pesticide, seed, feed, etc., grasps the supply and demand situation in time, prioritizes the arrangement of transportation capacity, and practically guarantees the transportation of agricultural materials and production raw materials such as chemical fertilizer for spring ploughing. According to the unified deployment of China Railway Group, China Railway Taiyuan, Hohhot, Jinan, Wuhan and other Bureau Group Co., Ltd. focuses on nitrogen transport, China Railway Kunming, Chengdu and other Bureau Group Co., Ltd. focuses on phosphorus transport, and China Railway Lanzhou, Urumqi and other Bureau Group Co., Ltd. focuses on potassium transport. The railway gives priority to ensuring the main production areas of nitrogen fertilizer such as Shanxi, Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia, the main production areas of phosphate fertilizer such as Yunnan, Guizhou and Hubei, and the main production areas of potash fertilizer such as Qinghai and Xinjiang, etc. for the outward transportation demand of chemical fertilizer, and starts the transportation guarantee mechanism of key materials when necessary.

For the transportation of agricultural materials, the railway has actively opened up green channels, carefully controlled and directed, and strengthened the guarantee of empty cars. With the recent recovery of grain, fertilizer and other boxcars, some Railway Bureau Group companies have increased their demand for boxcars. The railway should be prepared for a rainy day and adjust the operation strategy in time in combination with the distribution of boxcars.
