The first China Europe express mail and parcel special train arrives in Lithuania

On April 12, the first China Europe train (Chongqing) special train with 44 containers and a total weight of nearly 300 tons arrived in Vilnius, Lithuania. This is the first time through the China Europe Express (Chongqing) special train for international mail parcels, opening up a new channel for the transportation of the backlog of international mail during the epidemic.

Recently, affected by the global epidemic, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other cities have detained a large number of international postal parcels due to the sharp reduction of international routes. The railway department, relying on the advantages of China Europe train (Chongqing) international channel, has carried out emergency distribution of the stranded postal parcels.

The special train started from Tuanjie Village Station on April 3, and delivered 42 containers of international mail and 2 containers of anti epidemic relief materials from Beijing, Guangdong, Hunan and Chongqing. In order to further ensure the timeliness of the international postal special train, Chengdu Bureau Group Co., Ltd. Xinglong Station, Chongqing locomotive depot, Chongqing depot and other departments set up a linkage mechanism to ensure the priority of empty train selection, technical operation, locomotive power, accurate operation plan, accurate operation time, accurate operation line, accurate loading and unloading location, fast unloading, fast entry, fast loading and fast inspection , fast delivery, realizing the efficient operation of the special train.

Next, the Chongqing railway department plans to ship one or two international mail parcels every week, which will increase the national postal transport capacity by 50 tons of European oriented mail every day, and the distribution volume is expected to account for 70% of the total amount of European oriented international mail transported by China Europe railway.
