Pingxiang (railway) port's designated supervision site for imported fruits has passed the acceptance inspection
On February 25, the first fruit train entering China went from Tongdeng in Vietnam to Pingxiang in Guangxi. The six refrigerated containers of 156 tons of huolongguo carried by the train were inspected and quarantined by the General Administration of Customs in Pingxiang Port Logistics Center of China Railway, and then transferred to Beijing, Zhengzhou, Chongqing, Xi'an and other places. Pingxiang, which borders on Lang Shan, Vietnam, is the frontier for docking with the ASEAN market, and also the land gateway for the construction of the "belt and road" initiative and the construction of a new land sea channel in the West. The railways of China and Vietnam are connected here. On February 24, the designated supervision site for imported fruits at Pingxiang (railway) port, located in Pingxiang Port Logistics Center of China Railway, passed the examination and acceptance of the General Administration of customs, and can formally handle the direct transportation business of imported fruits. So far, the logistics center integrates the functions of customs, border inspection and railway freight transportation, which can realize one-stop processing of import and export business. Transit container goods do not need to change trains for loading, which greatly shortens the overall logistics time. In recent years, relying on the port advantages, Pingxiang has vigorously developed the border fruit trade. In 2019, it imported 730000 tons of fruit products, which has become the largest land port for China ASEAN fruit trade import and export for many years. Every fruit season, Pingxiang friendship road port will be congested to varying degrees. In order to better serve the "belt and road" construction, China Railway Nanning Bureau Group Co., Ltd. upgraded the existing Pingxiang railway port and built it into the Pingxiang Port Logistics Center of China Railway with the designated supervision site for imported fruits. Pingxiang Port Logistics Center of China Railway covers an area of about 225 mu, including port entry service area, supervision operation area, quarantine treatment area and pre interception operation (safety access) area. Since August 6, 2019, Nanning Bureau Group Co., Ltd. has been approved to construct the designated supervision site for imported fruits, which will strengthen organization and coordination, coordinate resources of all parties, and promote the project construction in a scientific and orderly manner. On February 12 this year, they successfully organized the trial operation of imported fruit trains. After the national railway Pingxiang Port Logistics Center's direct fruit train has opened, the fruits of ASEAN countries can quickly enter the domestic market through international rail transport, which is conducive to further closer cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in fruit trade. At present, the logistics center is expected to ship two to three inbound fruit trains every week, expanding the variety of fruit to longan, litchi, etc., and importing 60000 tons of fruit in the whole year.
