It marks that the construction of China's first "intelligent" high-speed railway has entered a new stage, and this century old railway will bear a new historical mission.

"Beijing Zhangjiakou Railway is the starting point for Chinese people to independently design and build railway. Without this starting point, we can't stand on the "shoulder" of rapid development of China's railway, equipment manufacturing and comprehensive national strength, and plan the fine and leaping of China's high-speed rail on the "1mm" Wang Hongyu, general design director of Beijing Zhangjiakou high speed railway of China Railway Design Group, said.
