Chaoma Intercity Railway obtains "birth permit"
The reporter learned from the provincial development and Reform Commission that the provincial development and Reform Commission had recently approved the feasibility study report of Jiangbei section of Chaohu Ma'anshan intercity railway. Immediately, the pilot section of Chaohu Ma'anshan intercity railway was officially started at the end of last week. The
Chaoma intercity railway project is a key project defined in the construction plan of Wanjiang Intercity Railway (2015-2020) and the construction plan of modern railway transportation system in Anhui Province (2017-2021). It is an important part of another channel between Hefei and Shanghai of Shanghai Hanrong expressway, and an important transportation to undertake the industrial transfer in the core region of the Yangtze River Delta. It is a passenger dedicated line with inter city function and road network function. Not long ago, Chaoma intercity has completed the feasibility study approval and preliminary design approval of the project. The
line is led from Chaohu east station of Shanghe Hangzhou railway, which is built by itself. It crosses the Yangtze River 2.3km south of Hanshan County, Ma'anshan City, zhengpugang new area, and along the south side of the Yangtze River Bridge of Ma'anshan City to the south of Ma'anshan City. In the near future, it is connected to Ma'anshan Shandong station of Ning'an intercity railway, with a total length of about 73.2km, including 11.8km of connecting line and 350km of design speed. The construction period of
line is 5 years, and it is planned to build 3 new stations (including Shanshan station, zhengpugang station and Maanshan South Station). In the long term, it will extend eastward from Ma'anshan south station to Nanjing Lukou Airport and connect to Jurong station of Southern Jiangsu riverside railway, forming a fast passage from Hefei, Ma'anshan to Shanghai and central Jiangsu. The first project section to be started this time is zhengpugang viaduct station No.2 super major bridge. Under the background that the regional integration development of the Yangtze River Delta has become a national strategy, the high-speed rail artery linking the two metropolitan areas of the Yangtze River Delta will not only refresh the regional traffic map, but also reshape the "economic geography" of Ma'anshan City and even the whole Yangtze River Delta region.
for Ma'anshan, the completion of the Chaoma intercity railway will not only greatly shorten the railway travel time from Ma'anshan to Hefei, but also achieve mutual access between the two cities in more than half an hour. Reporter Zhu Liang
