For three days and three nights, he stood by the line
From July 17 to July 19, Hefei, Lu'an and other areas in Anhui province suffered continuous heavy rainfall, which brought severe challenges to the flood control work of Hefei section of Shanghai Railway Bureau Group Co., Ltd.
Back on July 9, Cheng Xuchang, director of Taihu line workshop of Hefei public works section, who had just returned from the inspection of flood control site, checked the rain gauge alarm monitoring records in front of the computer. Suddenly, the telephone on the desk rang, and Wang Zhusheng, the foreman of Susong maintenance area, reported that the left retaining wall collapsed at 230 km and 100 m along the Hefei Jiujiang line.
Cheng Xuchang nervous a tight, meal also did not attend to eat, immediately rushed to the scene command rescue. He has worked in Hefei Jiulong line for five years and is familiar with every equipment here. The site is a deep cutting section. The retaining wall collapses and the falling stones roll into the line, which affects the traffic safety.
In order to seize the time to deal with the dangerous situation, Cheng Xuchang rolled up his sleeves to carry gravel and climbed up the top of the slope to inspect the collapse marks. Two meters steep slope, he up and down dozens of times. With limited vision in the dark, he slipped down on the slippery road and was cut several times by the leaves of the grass. He simply bandaged the wound and went to the scene. At this time, he had only one idea in mind: at all costs, to complete the rescue in the shortest time.
"Wang Zhusheng, you take people to carry gravel, pay attention to the outside of the line." "Go to the top of Jinpeng, you are in danger." Under the command of Cheng Xuchang, 120 people on the scene are busy in an orderly way. When the falling rocks and dangerous rocks are cleared up, the sky has turned white.
When there was no time to rest, Cheng Xuchang organized the workers on site to dismantle the damaged retaining wall, and carried out slope cleaning within 120 meters around the collapsed area. Due to the large amount of work and the risk of gravel falling from the top of the cutting to the line during the operation, Cheng Xuchang took the lead to transport and clear the falling stones in front of the road, and worked continuously for 7 hours on the site.
In order to ensure that the rescue personnel have sufficient physical strength, Cheng Xuchang arranged for Wu Hongxian, deputy secretary of the Party branch of the workshop working at the scene, and Zhao Feng, a planner, to go to the street to look for shops to buy bread, ham sausage, water and other food for the rescue workers. After daybreak, he immediately contacted the hotel and appointed a special person to take charge of the food supply to ensure that the on-site personnel could eat hot food.
Finally, with the last excavator stopped roaring, the cutting top slope cutting operation was successfully completed. During this period, Cheng Xuchang and 120 rescue workers worked hard for three days and three nights, with a total slope cutting volume of 16000 cubic meters.
Cheng Xuchang, who has been sticking to the line, has been hoarse. He opened his red eyes and said, "we can't relax. We'll start the slope work on the other side of the line tomorrow."
Since the flood season, Cheng Xuchang has been busy at the scene. Since July, he has been taking the rain as the order, sticking to the front line, and has participated in the treatment of 13 floods.
