Group charter service will be launched for the first time in the Yangtze River Delta railway in spring 2020

On January 2, the reporter learned from China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. that the group charter service first launched by the Yangtze River Delta railway in the Spring Festival of 2020 is widely welcomed by the society. It is expected that 17 group charter trains will be opened before the Spring Festival, with more than 8000 group passengers. This new service initiative will greatly facilitate group passengers such as migrant workers and students who work and study in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai Go home for the new year.

it is understood that the models of the 17 chartered trains before the festival include 9 "g" trains, 3 "d" trains and 5 ordinary speed trains. The departure area involves Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou and other places, and the destination is Chengdu, Guiyang, Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Fuyang and other southwest, Northwest and Central Plains directions. The largest single group has more than 1000 people.

Yangtze River Delta railway is the first to launch the spring transportation charter service in China, which is due to the substantial increase of spring transportation capacity in 2020. In the coming Spring Festival transportation, the Yangtze River Delta railway plans to arrange 1000 pairs of passenger trains and 276 pairs of additional passenger trains; the total number of trains to be operated reaches 1276 (including 950 pairs of EMU trains), an increase of 124.5 pairs on a year-on-year basis, an increase of 10.8% on a year-on-year basis. Compared with the spring transportation in 2019, it has more abundant passenger transportation capacity, providing transportation capacity guarantee for the launch of spring transportation charter service.

Most of the Chartered trains are arranged to run before January 18, avoiding the peak passenger flow from January 18 to 22. According to the railway department, there are not only local governments, labor unions, enterprises, but also social welfare organizations that provide pre Festival Group charter services for local migrant workers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. Some organizers also provide free tickets and meals for migrant workers who participate in group charter, helping more migrant workers to return home safely and get together for the Spring Festival. The railway department will open up a "green channel" for group charter passengers, and provide services such as group ticket centralized purchase, convenient arrival guidance and special waiting arrangement.

it is understood that the "group charter" customized service acceptance stations are mainly those in Shanghai, Suzhou, Changzhou, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Yiwu, Jinhua, Wenzhou, Hefei, Fuyang, Xuzhou and other cities. Before January 25, 2020, the Yangtze River Delta railway can still handle group charter service for Spring Festival transportation. As long as the groups organized by enterprises and institutions and the public welfare organizations organized by government agencies and enterprises and institutions take the same day and the same train, and the group number is not less than 300, they can apply for the customized service of "group charter" through the special window of the relevant station. The railway department will formulate and organize the implementation of group charter travel plan when conditions are met according to the application qualification review, charter demand and spring transportation capacity.
