There will be 44 EMU trains running from Meizhou to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shantou, Zhuhai, Yichang and Xiamen every day. The fastest time for Meizhou to Guangzhou and Shenzhen is only 3 hours 25 minutes and 2 hours 52 minutes. In the initial period of operation, Meizhou-Shantou Railway operated 44 EMU trains daily, including 12 from Meizhou to Guangzhou, 10 from Shenzhen, 8 from Chaoshan Station, 8 from Shantou and 2 from Zhuhai, Xiamen and Yichang.

The main line of Meishan Railway is 122.4 kilometers in length, with a designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour. Meizhou West Station, Meizhou City, Meizhou City, Meizhou City, Jieyang City and Chaozhou City are connected with Hangzhou-Shenzhen Railway at Chaoshan Station, Chaozhou City.
