On the afternoon of September 17, the construction of the West Hangzhou railway station hub started, marking the official start of the construction of the Hu hang railway. The new line is about 136 kilometers long and has a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. After the completion of Hangzhou West Railway Station Hub and the planned high-speed railway line, the time for Hangzhou to reach Shanghai, Nanjing, Hefei and other major cities in the Yangtze River Delta will be further shortened.

The Hu-Hang Railway is introduced from the existing Ningxia-Hangzhou High-speed Railway Huzhou Station, through Nantaihu New District, Wuxing District, Deqing County, Yuhang District, Xihu District, Fuyang District and Tonglu County of Hangzhou, after the new Tonglu East Railway Station across the Fuchun River, the Hangzhou-Huanghai High-speed Railway Tonglu Station is introduced. There are six stations on the whole line, of which two are used to rebuild the existing station. Three new stations, West Hangzhou, West Fuyang and East Tonglu, have been built.

Hangzhou West Railway Station Hub is located in Cangqian Street, Yuhang District. It is about 11 kilometers from Liangzhu Ancient City Site, 17 kilometers from Wulin Square and 22 kilometers from Qianjiang New Citizen Center. The scale of the station is 11 stations and 20 lines, with an area of 500,000 square meters above the station building. The hub integrates high-speed rail, subway, bus, Internet taxi, taxi, social vehicle and other modes of transportation.

After the completion of Hangzhou West Railway Station Hub, passengers will take about 25 minutes to Hangzhou East Railway Station by Airport Railway Express Line and 45 minutes to Xiaoshan Airport.
The new Hu-Hangzhou Railway is an important node project to build the "Yangtze River Delta on track" and also an important transportation supporting project to guarantee the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. The project construction is of great significance to implement the national strategy of integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, to improve the layout of regional high-speed railway network, to enhance the capacity of passenger stations and river-crossing corridors in Hangzhou Railway Hub, and to promote the economic and social development along the line.
