Chengdu Guiyang high speed railway starts from Chengdu, Sichuan Province, passes Meishan, Leshan, Yibin, Weixin, Zhenxiong, Guizhou Bijie, and ends in Guiyang, with a total length of 650 kilometers and a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. Among them, Chengdu Yibin section has been put into operation in advance; Yibin Guiyang section is 374km long, with 11 stations, most of which are new ones, including Yibin West, Changning, Xingwen and Weixin. In this operation test, the railway department will carry out operation diagram parameter test, fault simulation, emergency rescue drill, train test according to the diagram and other projects between Yibin west station and Guiyang North Station, test the equipment step by step, and formulate the best transportation scheme on the basis of confirming that the line meets the standard.

As an important part of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network, the Chengdu Guiyang high-speed railway is connected with xi'an-chengdu high-speed railway, Chengdu Chongqing high-speed railway, Guiyang Guangzhou high-speed railway and Shanghai Kunming high-speed railway in Chengdu.
