Shanghai Suzhou Nantong railway < / BR > running rail sea intermodal container trains to improve coastal passage capacity
At 2:00 on July 10, the rail sea intermodal container train loaded with 60 containers of sporting goods, furniture and machinery left Haian logistics base in Jiangsu Province and headed for Luchao port in Shanghai. After arriving at the port, the goods will be transported by sea to the United States, Britain, Belgium and other countries. This is the first rail sea intermodal container train since the opening and operation of Shanghai Suzhou Nantong railway, marking the formal opening of the freight function of this new railway line.
The opening and operation of Shanghai Suzhou Nantong railway has ended the history that the railway sea intermodal freight trains in the central and northern areas of Jiangsu Province have to bypass Nanjing to Shanghai and Ningbo ports, effectively improving the freight transport capacity of coastal channels, and shortening the train mileage from 420 km to 313 km from Hai'an, Jiangsu Province to Luchao port in Shanghai. After the improvement of line conditions, the speed of the train increased from 80 km / h to 120 km / h. In addition, the "point-to-point" circular train mode was adopted, which greatly shortened the assembly time of empty cars and shortened the whole transportation time from 13 hours to 6 hours, which improved the transportation efficiency and reduced the logistics cost of enterprises.
China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. has taken measures such as providing whole process logistics service and optimizing loading process to release the transport capacity of new lines, strengthen the organization of freight source connection and overall arrangement of transport capacity, accurately serve enterprise owners, and strive to create a new business card of regional freight brand.
At present, Jiangsu Hai'an logistics base has opened the "point-to-point" rail sea intermodal container trains to Shanghai Luchao port and Ningbo Beilun port. Eight trains will be shipped in the early stage of the week, and the later stage will be strengthened according to the freight demand to achieve the goal of 14 trains per week.
