Construction of Shanghai Suhu railway starts
On the morning of June 5, the construction of Shanghai Suhu railway, a major integrated development project in the Yangtze River Delta, was officially started.
Shanghai Suzhou Lake railway starts from Shanghai in the East, passes through Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and runs west along the South Bank of Taihu Lake to Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, with a total length of 163.8km and a design speed of 350km / h. The whole line is located in the west of Shanghai, the south of Jiangsu Province and the north of Zhejiang Province. It passes through the water town of Jiangnan and is rich in tourism resources. It is an important railway transport channel connecting Shanghai, Suzhou, Huzhou and other key cities in the Yangtze River Delta. There are 7 stations in Shanghai Hongqiao, songjiangnan, FenHu, Shengze, Nanxun, Huzhou East and Huzhou. Among them, Shanghai Hongqiao Station and Huzhou station are existing stations, others are new intermediate stations.
It is understood that Shanghai Suhu railway is jointly funded and constructed by China National Railway Group Co., Ltd. and the people's governments of Shanghai, Jiangsu Province and Zhejiang Province. Upon completion, the operation and management of Shanghai Railway Bureau Group Co., Ltd. will be entrusted. After the completion of the project, it will form a leisure and tourism golden line with strong characteristics of Jiangnan and Shuixiang. It will connect with NInghang high-speed railway in Huzhou, the south section of Shanghe Hangzhou high-speed railway under construction and Huhang high-speed railway. In Wujiang, Suzhou, it will be connected with Tongsu Jiayong railway, which will strive to start construction this year. It will become the backbone of the Yangtze River Delta inter city railway network and an important part of the rail transit circle around Taihu Lake It is of great significance to further improve the Yangtze River Delta high-quality rapid rail transit network, build the Yangtze River Delta on the track, enhance the radiation function of the economic development of the Yangtze River Delta, and help the Yangtze River Delta to develop with higher quality and integration.
