In August 2015, after four years of honing, Zhang Hengbin became the monitor of the work area. In November 2017, the walking board of the bridge was replaced. The father and son worked together to overcome many difficulties such as tight time, heavy task and great difficulty, and completed the task of replacing 6500 walking boards with high standard. Li Shaozhou, 52, and Li Tengfei, 29, are also father and son soldiers. Li Shaozhou also worked on the bridge for more than 30 years. Like Zhang Xinchao, he taught his son the experience accumulated over the years. "The physical strength of young people and the experience of the older generation can better maintain the bridge." Li Shaozhou said. This "bone grafting operation" is mostly done by young people.
