Beijing Pinggu line starts this year! 20 stations connect sub center, central city and North three counties!

Beijing Urban sub center is entering a new round of traffic engineering intensive construction period, and large projects will be frequently launched and landed! On January 8, the municipal development and Reform Commission disclosed to the public that in 2019, the city's transportation infrastructure construction will be accelerated in all fields, and many projects including the reconstruction of the East Sixth Ring Road will also be accelerated in 2020.

The Pinggu line of the subway will be started

At the end of 2019, the national development and Reform Commission officially approved the second phase of Beijing rail transit construction planning adjustment plan. This involves the adjustment of line 22, which is often referred to as Pinggu line. The total length of line 22 is 78.6km, with 20 stations. The total length of Hebei section is about 28 kilometers, with 4 stations. The adjustment plan retains the original Pinggu Dongfeng north bridge line as the long-term plan. In the near future, according to the collaborative planning results of Beisan County, Hebei Province, and the demand of passenger flow and service sub center, the west section of the line will be adjusted to the East Bridge through the administrative office area, urban sub center station. That is to say, Pinggu line starts from Pinggu new city and divides into two branches through Sanhe City, Hebei Province: one is recently implemented, passing through Beijing City sub center and ends at Dongdaqiao station in central city. The other branch line is reserved in the long term. It passes through Gaolou South Station of Sanhe City and ends at Dongfeng Beiqiao station. This year, the planned Pinggu line of the subway will also be started. After the opening in the future, there will be a subway express between the central urban area and the urban sub center, which can also radiate and drive the three northern counties.

Space reserved for 11 roads at the entrance of the Sixth Ring Road in the East

In the morning peak, the trumpets of the East Sixth Ring Road kept ringing, and the trucks moved slowly one by one. Pedestrians and vehicles on both sides of the East and the West have to make a detour for several kilometers to cross the bridge. The Sixth Ring Road to the East is imminent. Last month, the East Sixth Ring Road was quietly renovated in the middle of winter. According to reports, the East Sixth Ring Road reconstruction project starts from Shiyuan bridge of Beijing Harbin Expressway in the South and ends at tuanli bridge of Luyuan North Street in the north, with a total length of about 16 kilometers. On the one hand, the existing two-way four lane road will be widened and transformed into two-way six lane road; on the other hand, the section from Beijing Tianjin highway to Luyuan Second Street will be transformed into an underground tunnel about 9.2km long. It will take about three or four years. What's more, after the completion of the project, 11 East-West urban roads between various groups of the urban sub center will be connected to effectively sew up the urban space. The current East Sixth Ring Road will build a high-speed line Park, and further improve the green space pattern of the city's sub center through the green slow moving system connecting the Heritage Park of Tongtong county and the green center of the city. After the 16 km reconstruction of the East six ring road, the passenger transport function will be transferred to the underground, and the freight transport function will be transferred to the capital Ring Road expressway. "Farewell to freight" is also the trend of the Sixth Ring Road in the future.

Add 10 ramps to guarantee the global theme park

Standing on the East Sixth Ring Road, the amusement facilities in the universal theme park have begun to take shape. According to the plan, the park will be open in 2021. Apart from two supporting subway lines, what other roads will provide convenience for tourists? "For the universal theme park, Beijing has added two overpasses to the two expressways, with a total of 10 ramps for tourists to get in and out."
