Recently, the provincial key railway projects held a centralized commencement ceremony in Hefei, marking the official commencement of the construction of Hefei Xinyi high-speed railway. It is understood that Hefei Xinyi high speed railway is located in the northeast of Anhui Province and the north of Jiangsu Province, passing through Mingguang, Fengyang and Dingyuan. According to the planning plan, two new high-speed railway stations will be built in Chuzhou, namely Mingguang West and Dingyuan East. according to the letter of approval opinions on the environmental impact report of the newly built Hefei Xinyi railway Anhui section issued by the Department of ecological environment of Anhui Province on December 29, 2019, the Hefei Xinyi railway Anhui section starts from the boundary of Anhui province and passes through Sixian, Wuhe, Mingguang, Fengyang, Anhui province Dingyuan, Feidong, to Hefei. The total length of main line project is 219.338 km, including 210.214 km of new main line and 9.124 km of existing line. The new Hefei West Railway Station Santai 5th line and taohuadian 3rd 4th line will be built, and the Hefei EMU Operation Station will be reconstructed and expanded. There are 6 stations in the whole line, 5 stations in the east of Sixian County, Wuhe, mingguangxi, dingyuandong and Badu, and 5 stations in the west of Hefei (under construction). The construction standard is high-speed railway, double track, electric traction, EMU, and the design speed target value is 350 km / h. Therefore, Hefei Xinyi high-speed railway passes through Mingguang, Fengyang and Dingyuan, and two new high-speed railway stations will be built in Chuzhou.

it is also reported that the planned construction period of Hefei Xinyi high-speed railway is three and a half years, and it is expected to be completed in 2024.
