Commencement of the largest railway related project in the Yangtze River Delta

Recently, with the simultaneous drilling of two bored piles in the first bid section of Shanghai rail transit city line airport connecting line (West Section) adjacent to Shanghai Hongqiao Station, the largest railway related project in the Yangtze River Delta participated by China Railway 24th Bureau Group Co., Ltd. started construction. As one of the first 11 Municipal Railway demonstration lines determined by the national development and Reform Commission, Shanghai airport connecting line is the first newly built Municipal Railway in the core area of the Yangtze River Delta, with a total length of 68.6km. It starts from Shanghai Hongqiao Station and ends at the Shanghai East Station under construction. There are 9 stations along the line, with a design speed of 160km / h. After the Shanghai airport connecting line is completed and put into operation, it will be convenient for passengers to transfer between Pudong and Hongqiao airports, and realize the air rail rapid transportation.
