Further improvement of "eight vertical and eight horizontal" railway network in China

CCTV news: yesterday (18) morning, the national medium and long-term railway network planning ” eight vertical and eight horizontal ” important component, Beijing Hong Kong high-speed railway Anhui Hefei anqing section officially launched the track laying work. The line is led from the new Hefei West Railway Station, passing through Feixi, Lujiang, Huaining and other places in Anhui Province, and finally reaches the new anqing West Railway Station. The main line is about 162 kilometers long, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour and a total of 8 stations. The track laying work is planned to be completed by the end of March 2020 and officially put into operation by the end of 2020. The completion of the project will further improve the quality and capacity of the regional road network in the Yangtze River economic belt.
