Commencement of taicang-4th regiment section of Shanghai Tonghua Railway
On December 15, the construction of taicang-4th regiment section of Shanghai Tonghua Railway started, marking the important progress in the construction of the coastal railway corridor in the national medium and long-term railway network planning, which will fill the gap of the trunk railway in the east of Shanghai, and make the railway hub and network layout of Shanghai more balanced and reasonable.
the line starts from Taicang station of nantong-anting section of Shanghai Tonghua Railway in the north and connects with the 4th group station of Shanghai Pudong Railway in the south. It passes through Taicang City under the jurisdiction of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, Jiading District, Baoshan District, Pudong New Area and Fengxian District of Shanghai. The total length of the line is 111.8km, including 7.3km in Jiangsu Province and 104.5km in Shanghai. There are six stations in the whole line, including Taicang, Xuhang, Waigaoqiao, Caolu, Shanghai East Railway Station and Situan. This line adopts passenger and Freight Co line, with design speed of 200km / h and construction period of 5 years.
the scope of this construction is Wusongkou Yangtze River tunnel crossing section and Waigaoqiao container operation station. Wusongkou Yangtze River tunnel is located in Baoshan District and Pudong District of Shanghai. It crosses the Yangtze River Estuary and Huangpu River. The length of the tunnel in the river crossing section is 8.61 km. The double tunnel and single track underwater tunnel have a design speed of 120 km / h. According to
