In November 2017, Huainan Municipal government and Shanghai Railway Bureau jointly launched the reconstruction and upgrading project of Huainan station, focusing on the completion of the main station building, high platform, pedestrian underpass and other reconstruction projects of Huainan station. After reconstruction, the waiting room area of Huainan railway station has been expanded from 794 square meters to 3258 square meters. The area has been increased by four times, and the platform has been increased to 1.25 meters. The entrance and exit ticket inspection system has been fully upgraded and automated, and mother and child waiting room, toilet, tea room and business district have been added, so that passengers can have a better travel experience.
