A three generation train driver! They witnessed the development history of Fujian Railway
Tang Yunjun, a motor car driver; his father, Tang Guizhong, was also a train driver, driving from steam train to electric locomotive; Tang Yongen, Tang Yunjun's grandfather, was the first generation of steam locomotive driver in Fujian Province. A train driver of three generations has linked up the development history of Fujian railway. A 6031 a 6031 Fujian used to be at the end of China's transportation for a long time. In 1954, in order to provide Fujian with a modern exit channel, the construction of Yingxia railway was officially started. It starts from Yingtan in Jiangxi Province in the north and ends in Xiamen in Fujian Province in the south.
in 1956, Tang Yongen, Tang Yunjun's grandfather, came to Shaowu, Fujian Province from the bocketu locomotive depot in Inner Mongolia to support the construction. In 1957, Yingxia railway, the first trunk railway in Fujian, was opened to traffic. Tang Yongen became the first generation steam locomotive driver of Yingxia line. After entering the railway system, Tang Guizhong started to run Yingxia line in 1976, after seven years of training, and became a steam locomotive driver in 1983.
in 1993, Yingxia railway completed the electrification transformation and became the first electrified railway in East China. This is also a milestone progress of Fujian railway. The use of electric locomotives has greatly improved the railway transportation capacity in mountainous areas of Fujian Province, where there are many tunnels and steep slopes. Tang Guizhong drove Shaoshan 3 electric locomotive and later replaced it with Shaoshan 4, doubling the speed.
on September 28, 2009, Wenzhou Fuzhou railway was put into operation. Since then, Fujian has entered the era of EMU, ending the history of only single track and low-speed railway. Tang Guizhong has driven Tang steam trains and electric locomotives. The only regret is that he hasn't driven a bullet train. However, after years of study and exercise, his son Tang Yunjun finally became a motor car driver in 2015.
after Wenzhou Fuzhou railway, Xiamen Shenzhen railway, Xiangpu railway and Hefei Fuzhou high speed railway are successively opened. By the end of 2018, the operation mileage of high-speed and fast railways in Fujian Province was 1818km, and the density of railway network was twice the national average level. The former traffic terminal has become the first province in China that has the reality of "city to city fast rail".
