Chuzhou Mingguang railway station will be renovated today

From now on to next August, Mingguang railway station with a history of more than 100 years will be closed and reconstructed.

on September 12, 2019, Mingguang Municipal People's government issued the notice on temporary suspension of passenger transport business of Mingguang railway station. According to the notice, Mingguang railway station will be completely closed from October 15, 2019 to August 10, 2020. With the approval of the State Railway Group Co., Ltd., passenger transport business of Mingguang railway station will be temporarily suspended during the upgrading period.

it is reported that the new station building after reconstruction covers an area of 3000 square meters, and can accommodate 600 passengers waiting at the same time. The platform is two sets of five lines, which have the conditions to stop the motor car. It will be the second-class station under the jurisdiction of Shanghai Railway Bureau Group Co., Ltd.

Mingguang station is located in Mingguang City, Anhui Province. It was built in the 37th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1908). It was officially put into operation in 1912. The current railway station was repaired in 1974 and is the third generation of Mingguang station.
