Chengya Railway Opening Operation
On December 28, the 140-kilometer Chengdu-Ya'an Railway opened and operated, ending the history of the absence of motor vehicles in Western Sichuan. The design speed of Chengya Railway is 160 to 200 kilometers per hour. It consists of Chengdu to Chaoyang Lake and Chaoyang Lake to Ya'an. In the initial stage of operation, 8 pairs of EMUs were operated. During the weekend rush hour, the number of EMUs will be increased.
Opening of Chengshen Section of Jing-Ha High-speed Railway
After four years of construction, the Chengde-Shenyang section of Beijing-Hami high-speed railway was officially opened on December 29. The Chengshen section of Beijing-Harbin High-speed Railway is a part of the Beijing-Harbin-Hong Kong-Macao Corridor, which is the "one vertical" part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network. It was officially constructed in March 2014. It connects Chengde City of Hebei Province, Chaoyang City of Liaoning Province, Fuxin City and Shenyang City. The line is 506 kilometers long with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and the speed of the train in its initial operation. 300 kilometers.
Xintong High-speed Railway Opening Operation
Xintong High-speed Railway from Xinmin North Station of Beijing-Hami High-speed Railway to Tongliao, Inner Mongolia, was officially opened on December 29. This is also the first high-speed railway in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to connect to the national high-speed railway network. Xintong High-speed Railway is 197 kilometers long with a designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The running time of Shenyang-Tongliao EMU is 1 hour and 20 minutes, which is 2.5 hours shorter than the original ordinary speed train.
Tongliao is located in the eastern part of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. With the opening of Xintong High-speed Railway, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region first accessed the national high-speed rail network. Tongliao Station, an old station with a hundred-year history, is also glowing with new life.
Operation of Hangzhou-Huanghai High-speed Railway
On December 25, the high-speed railway from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province to Huangshan, Anhui Province was officially opened and operated. This high-speed railway line is 265 kilometers long and consists of nine stations in Hangzhou East, Fuyang, Tonglu, Jiande, Qiandaohu, Sanyang, Jixi North, Shexian North and Huangshan North, with a designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour.
The opening of this high-speed rail line has ended the history of high-speed rail in Fuyang, Tonglu, Jiande and Chun'an in Western Zhejiang. From Hangzhou and Shanghai to Huangshan, the fastest time is only 1 hour, 26 minutes and 2 hours, 26 minutes respectively.
Operation of Ha-Mu High-speed Railway
On December 25, the Harbin-Mudanjiang high-speed railway opened and operated, with the fastest running time shortened to 1 hour and 28 minutes. The simultaneous speed-up operation of the Mudanjiang-Suifenhe Railway will usher in the era of EMUs for the Russian port Suifenhe.
The Ha-Mu high-speed railway is an important part of the northernmost "horizontal" of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network in China. Along the line, 39 tunnels will be crossed. Due to its special geographical location, the ice and snow line has undergone 16 cold-resistant modifications, and passengers can enjoy the scenery of the North Country in their cars. When this line is opened and operated, it will greatly close the space-time distance between Mudanjiang and Beijing, Harbin and other cities. The whole compression time from Mudanjiang to Harbin is 3 hours, and from Mudanjiang to Beijing is 6 hours and 57 minutes.
Operation of Jinan-Qinghai High-speed Railway and Qingyan Railway
On December 26, Jinan-Qingdao High-speed Railway (Jinan-Qingdao) and Qingyan Railway (Qingdao-Yancheng) opened and operated. From December 26, 2018 to January 4, 2019, the transitional period for passenger trains on the new Jinan-Qinghai high-speed railway and Qingyan Railway lines will be set up. On January 5, 2019, after the adjustment of the national railway train diagram, the Jinan-Qinghai high-speed railway and Qingyan railway will gradually increase the number of long-distance passenger trains across the railway bureau.
Jinan-Qinghai high-speed railway is the easternmost section of Qingdao-Yinchuan corridor (Qingdao-Jinan-Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan-Yinchuan) in the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network. The running time of the fastest train from Jinan to Qingdao will be reduced from 2 hours and 20 minutes to 1 hour and 40 minutes, while that of Beijing to Qingdao will be reduced by 52 minutes.
After Qingdao-Yancheng Railway was opened and operated, Qingdao, Shandong Province, could take the high-speed rail to Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, ending the history of no EMUs in Rizhao, Lianyungang and Yancheng along the railway.
