Hot wire! Nanlong Railway opened on December 29!

On December 29, the Nanping-Longyan Railway (hereinafter referred to as the Nanlong Railway) in Fujian Province was opened, and the "mouth" of the railway line around Fujian was formed. The shortest running time of the Nanping-Longyan train was compressed to about 90 minutes.

Brief Introduction of Nanlong Railway

The Nanping-Longyan Railway starts from Nanping City in Fujian Province to Longyan City in the north and reaches Longyan City in the south. The line is 248.1 kilometers in length with a design speed of 200 kilometers per hour. It is a fast railway passageway with passenger transportation as the main part and cargo transportation as well. It has 9 stations, including Nanping North, Yanping West, Sanming North, Sanming, Yongan South, Shuangyang, Zhangping West, Yanshinan and Longyan.

As an important part of the national railway network Hangzhou-Guangzhou Railway and Fujian's "three vertical, six horizontal and nine ring" railway network, Nanlong Railway, together with Hefei-Fujian High-speed Railway, Hangzhou-Shenzhen Railway and Longxia Railway, constitutes a circular high-grade fast railway channel in Fujian Province, and becomes the most convenient and fast passage from the West Bank Economic Zone of the Yangtze River Delta to the Pearl

Train Arrangement for Nanlong Railway

At the beginning of the opening of Nanlong Railway, 14 pairs of passenger trains will be arranged, and the first two "round Fujian" trains from Fuzhou South to Fuzhou South and Xiamen to Xiamen will be opened. After railway mapping on January 5, 2019, there will be 23 pairs of passenger trains on Nanlong Railway, including 20 pairs of EMU trains and 3 pairs of ordinary speed trains.

Significance of Nanlong Railway Construction

The construction and opening of Nanlong Railway will further improve the layout of the internal road network in Fujian Province and the railway travel conditions in central and northwest Fujian. It will be beneficial to optimize the industrial layout of cities along the line, promote the upgrading of tourism industry, further promote the coordinated development of regional economy, promote the advance development of the Economic Zone on the west coast of the Straits, and become a communication mountain area in Fujian Province.
