- On January 2, 2019, in the conference hall of the former China Railway Corporation (China National Railway Group Co., Ltd.), Lu Dongfu, the general manager, announced that the "Renaissance" EMU would achieve automatic driving at 350 kilometers per hour for the first time in the world, and would be used in the construction of Beijing-Zhangzhou high-speed railway and Jingxiong inter-city railway in the future. In 2004, there was no one-inch high-speed railway in China; in January 2019, the mileage of high-speed railway in China reached 29,000 kilometers, more than two-thirds of the world's total mileage; the speed of commercial operation was 350 kilometers per hour, the highest in the world. In the past 15 years, China's high-speed rail technology has rapidly entered the world's leading ranks.
