Their task on that day is to straighten the OCS pillar and repair the pillar foundation. Due to the continuous heavy rainfall, part of the road leading to the site was washed away by flood. Therefore, Duan Yongkang and his staff began to arrange the sand, cement, anchor plate and other operation materials in the early morning to prepare to transport the materials to the site.

At 5:10, the car arrived at the position closest to the operation point. Everyone carried the whole pole by hand, carried cement sandbags on their shoulders, and walked nearly 5 kilometers to the operation site.

After arriving at the site to check the electricity and grounding, they first install the whole pole device to fix the pillar, then excavate the foundation, use the whole pole device to straighten the pillar, and then put the measured data into the anchor plate, and then backfill the foundation with concrete, reinforce and tamp.

Tang Jin, the foreman, carefully sprayed mosquito repellent water around the work site to avoid mosquito infestation. Although the morning temperature is not high, but successive days of rainfall makes the air humid and stuffy. Everyone overcame the influence of the weather and made concerted efforts to carry sand and water. The operation site was in good order.

At 8:10, the damaged Pillar Foundation was finally repaired, and all parameters of the catenary were measured to meet the requirements. Everyone sat down to have a rest after busy work. There was sweat in the work clothes and mud outside the work clothes. Looking at the finishing pillar, they forget the fatigue of fighting for days, showing a happy smile.
