The rain is fast and dangerous. On the morning of July 6, Bao Jinghui took an additional locomotive to check and found that the mountain between huangtukeng station and Jinsha station, 162 km (829 m) of Anhui Jiangxi railway line, was about 17 m long, and many fallen trees invaded the subgrade and track bed. He immediately stopped the train, reported to the dispatcher on duty and got off the train in an emergency. Meanwhile, he arranged for all staff in Jinsha maintenance area to go out to cut down dangerous trees and clean up the landslide soil. In order to seize the time to deal with the dangerous situation, Bao Jinghui rolled up his sleeves and plunged into the rain, carrying sandbags and wielding a spade, and worked with the staff and workers in full swing.
One wave is not smooth, another is rising again. At 9:50, water flooded the roadbed at 700 meters 165 kilometers along the Anhui Jiangxi line. Bao Jinghui directed the rescue work calmly. At this time, the culvert filled with silt has completely lost its drainage function, the water surface constantly washes the line, and most of the ballast in the ballast bed has been washed out.
"Ten people are left to fill the ballast on the line and restore the line as quickly as possible. The rest of the brothers will go with me to clean up the culvert." The pouring rain mixed with sweat made people unable to open their eyes. Bao Jinghui took the lead in jumping into the waist high mud and cleaned up the sludge and debris with a shovel and rake. The swift current, with its sharp gravel, cut his thighs and pierced the soles of his feet. His hands were worn, and the rain came down with blood. He clenched his teeth and dug hard. After 10 hours of fighting, the culvert was finally dredged. Bao Jinghui's feet had been soaked in water for a long time, and his hair was white and swollen.
The torrents did not stop their rampant pace. At 1:00 on July 7, a mountain collapsed at 400m of 161 km along the Anhui Jiangxi line, causing the pole to collapse on one side of the line. At the same time, due to the mountain torrents, all vehicles and pedestrians are forbidden to pass through the culvert, which brings difficulties to the scene rescue. Bao Jinghui couldn't take off his wet raincoat and led his brothers to the scene of the flood.
The flood situation is still worsening. At 8:33, at 700 meters of 161 kilometers along the Anhui Jiangxi line, one side of the bridge pier had been washed away due to the surge of river water under the bridge Bao Jinghui, who has not been able to sleep for a day and a night, is tirelessly racing against time. After 5 hours of continuous fighting, sandbags and rubble were completed to stabilize the pier. They were all exhausted, sitting on the ground, panting, but the battle was not over.
On the evening of July 7, Bao Jinghui led his staff to set up emergency beams at the 700 meters of 161 kilometers along the Anhui Jiangxi line. On the evening of July 8, he organized the backbone of Party members to carry out stress relief for the CWR at that place for three hours, and the line was successfully opened in the early morning of July 9.
Bao Jinghui, who hasn't had a rest for three days and three nights, has already flushed his eyes. He said: "I can't take care of that much. I only have one idea in my heart - to complete the rescue in the shortest time to ensure the safety of driving."
