Completion of track laying for Altay Fuyun section of afuzhun Railway

Recently, two sets of track laying machines pushed two groups of 25m track panels to the ground. Construction builders began to install rail panel connecting plywood. The successful completion of track laying of Altay Fuyun section of afuzhun railway marks that the whole line of afuzhun railway has been completed and the northern Xinjiang Railway loop line has been formally formed.

The total length of afuzhun railway is 420 km. The line starts from Altay City, the terminal point of Beitun Altay railway, crosses Kelan River and kalashuke reservoir, crosses karamaili ungulate Wildlife Nature Reserve, and ends at zhundongbei station. In the construction, the construction unit has fully implemented the ecological protection measures from the design to the construction, especially in the karamaili national ecological protection zone, designed 34 animal passages.

After the completion of the afuzhun railway, the operation time of the railway from Altay to Urumqi will be shortened by about 2 hours, and the famous tourist attractions in Northern Xinjiang such as KEKETUOHAI will be linked together.
