At 11:00 on July 6, a special freight train full of agricultural and animal husbandry products left Altay station and headed for Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. This is the first time that local agricultural and animal husbandry products are sold to Northeast China by freight train.

The special freight train for poverty alleviation carried 52 varieties of agricultural and animal husbandry products of 17 categories, including flour, camel's milk, seabuckthorn and medlar, produced in Altay, Xinjiang, with a total weight of more than 1100 tons.

Altay region is a pair of aid areas in Heilongjiang Province. According to the market survey of the front command of Heilongjiang Province, it is found that there is a large demand for agricultural and animal husbandry products in Xinjiang. High quality agricultural and animal husbandry products can be sold along the way through railway transportation, so as to better develop the market.
