In the ballast changing operation, the excavation depth of sleeper box and ballast slope is 600mm standard, which makes the drainage structure of ballast bed more reasonable and solves the problems of poor drainage of ballast bed, difficult to control the quality of manual ballast changing and different operation standards; the innovative use of "excavator + cage" for cleaning, the ballast does not land, and the waste soil is directly cleaned to the special waste soil flat car of adjacent line, and transported uniformly Centralized treatment improves the efficiency of cleaning and reduces environmental pollution.
At the same time of mechanized ballast replacement, Taiyuan Bureau Group Company also vigorously promotes mechanized sleeper replacement, which is 4 times the efficiency of manual sleeper replacement. The average number of sleepers replaced by "skylight" in 180 minutes is 693. The mechanical cleaning of turnout reduces the labor consumption by 67% and 80%, which is 6 times higher than the labor efficiency. The power supply department innovated the centralized operation mode of the maintenance train, increased the efficiency by 50%, and used the high-pressure water gun to clean the insulator, the efficiency was 71% higher than the manual cleaning. According to statistics, during the period of centralized maintenance, Taiyuan Bureau Group Co., Ltd. invested 108 large-scale road maintenance machines and 75 medium-sized machines, effectively improving the maintenance quality, operating efficiency and utilization rate of "skylight", reducing labor intensity, saving production costs, improving the secondary utilization rate of materials and reducing environmental pollution.

60% of the whole line of Daqin Railway is mountainous railway. The mountain road is rugged and the road is far away. The transfer of personnel and machines and tools in the centralized repair and construction needs a lot of cars. The risk of traffic safety is great. The cost of car rental for a centralized repair is tens of millions of yuan. In addition, when using vehicles to transfer personnel and machines, they can only go to the end of the bridge or the tunnel entrance, not directly to the actual operation site. The construction personnel have to carry the machines and tools in the tunnel for 3 kilometers or even 6 kilometers, hand-in-hand. A lot of time and energy are consumed on the road, wasting precious "skylight" time.
