High quality and high efficiency of railway transportation in May

In May, according to the deployment of the Party group of China National Railway Group Co., Ltd., all railway bureaus and groups actively focused on the prevention and control of normalized epidemic situation, the organization of passenger transport during the May 1st holiday, the transportation guarantee of the representatives of the national two sessions and the increase of freight transport revenue, and completed all transport work with high quality and efficiency.

Passenger traffic continued to pick up. With the resumption of work and production of enterprises around the country and the school opening in succession, the number of people travelling is increasing, and the passenger transport market is gradually recovering. Each railway bureau group company strengthens the daily passenger flow control, restores the transportation capacity in time according to the passenger flow growth, continuously meets the passenger travel demand, and strives to achieve the passenger transport growth. In May, 6368 passenger trains were opened every day, an increase of 802 or 14.4% over the previous month; 4.98 million passengers were sent by National Railways every day, an increase of 1.31 million or 35.7% over the previous month; the increase of traffic volume was 21 percentage points higher than the increase of capacity. During the May Day holiday, 277 more passenger trains were opened daily and 5.642 million passengers were sent, with the peak day reaching 7.298 million, a new high since the outbreak.

Freight loading increased rapidly on a month-on-month basis. In May, the average daily loading capacity of the whole road was 159 thousand vehicles, an increase of 13 thousand vehicles or 8.8% compared with the previous month, and an increase of 7258 vehicles or 4.8% compared with the previous month. Especially after the recovery of road toll policy, the Railway Bureau Group companies seize the opportunity to strengthen freight marketing and daily organization, and the loading shows a rapid growth momentum. On May 13, the loading of the whole road broke the 160000 vehicle mark, and on May 29, it set a record of the highest single day loading of this year, reaching 166242 vehicles. Container loading reached a new high six times, with a maximum of 33628 vehicles per day.

In May, under the condition that 13 main trunk lines are under centralized repair, each railway bureau group company realized efficient transportation by optimizing the construction organization, strengthening the connection of locomotive and train, reasonably using the parallel roads, and playing the role of fast evacuation channel. 4.21 days per week will be completed for all trucks, with a year-on-year compression of 0.24 days.

During this year's NPC and CPPCC, the railway department fully implemented the security work plan, strengthened the control of key links such as security inspection, real name system verification and ticket inspection, passenger boarding and landing organization, and highlighted the special waiting area, secondary security inspection and temperature measurement, final sampling inspection, high-speed rail express and luggage landing re inspection to ensure the transportation safety during the NPC and CPPCC.
