China Europe train set a new high in many indicators in April

In April this year, the total number of China EU trains and the number of trains going to and returning from China set a record for a single month. In April, the total number of China Europe trains was 979, and 88000 TEUs of goods were transported, up 46% and 50% year on year respectively, with a comprehensive heavy box rate of 97.8%.

From January to April of this year, China EU trains opened a total of 2920 trains and delivered 262000 TEUs of goods, an increase of 24% and 27% year-on-year respectively, with a comprehensive heavy box rate of 98%. In particular, after the outbreak of the epidemic, China and the EU have achieved a counter trend growth.

The stable operation of China EU train has become an important transport link connecting China, Europe and countries along the "belt and road" during the epidemic prevention and control period, and an important support for stabilizing the international supply chain in a special period. Compared with air transportation and sea transportation, the China Europe train has a unique advantage of segment transportation, which does not involve personnel quarantine. After the outbreak of the epidemic, China Railway Group made every effort to undertake the air and sea transport of goods, strengthen the organization of operation, improve the support capacity, and actively stabilize the international supply chain. A special working group was set up at the railway port to guide the operation of the port station on the spot, with the central European train as the focus of the daily transportation organization, giving priority to loading and unloading, hanging and handover, and maintaining the close relationship with the railway departments of the countries along the line We should keep in touch with each other, strengthen international cooperation, and work with customs departments to facilitate customs clearance.

The counter trend growth of China EU trains has contributed China's strength to the global anti epidemic. China Railway Group has specially arranged to include international cooperation anti epidemic materials into the scope of key guarantee transportation to ensure that they should be transported to the full. On March 21, the first China Europe train carrying anti epidemic materials exported to Europe started from Yiwu. By the end of April, the China EU train had shipped 660000 pieces and 3142 tons of international cooperation anti epidemic materials, mainly to Italy, Germany, Spain, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Netherlands, Lithuania and other countries, and allocated them to more European countries with these countries as the nodes, which effectively promoted international anti epidemic cooperation.

In view of the impact of the European epidemic on the return transportation of China EU trains, China Railway Group will further strengthen international cooperation in intermodal transport, jointly adopt supporting policies for stable transport, effectively guarantee the smooth railway ports, minimize the impact of the European epidemic on China EU trains, and make positive contributions to the protection of China EU trade and smooth international cooperation in the transportation of epidemic prevention materials.
