Speeding up container turnover and helping to resume production
At 22:00 on March 25, after more than one hour's intense unloading by the loading and unloading staff of Jingmen station, a train of 40 containers shipped from Dabaodang, Shaanxi Province to Jingmen, Hubei Province, was delivered to Yingde Gas Co., Ltd. Three hours later, the containers will be sent back to the railway for the next round of container circulation.
Jingmen City, Hubei Province is the largest thermal power plant base and coal consumption area in Western Hubei Province. Yingde Gas Co., Ltd., a key enterprise in Jingmen station, transports hydrogen for Jingmen Petrochemical through coal to produce hydrogen, and produces liquid ammonia and formaldehyde to provide processing raw materials for surrounding fertilizer plants. However, due to the limited supply of raw coal during the epidemic, the enterprise only maintains basic production.
In order to meet the processing demand of downstream enterprises, Yingde Gas Co., Ltd. urgently needs to transfer raw coal from Shaanxi to realize full load production. In order to solve the contradiction between the original transportation mode of the enterprise and the local environmental protection requirements, Jingmen station recommends the railway open top container transportation mode to Yingde Gas Co., Ltd., so as to reduce the dust, pavement scattering and air pollution caused by coal loading and unloading. At the same time, according to the cost control requirements of raw material transportation, the station coordinated the sending station to apply for freight rate fluctuation to the superior. In view of the actual situation that a large number of materials are difficult to arrive and unload through railway transportation, the station coordinates the railway special line connecting the station, adds container unloading business, arranges shunting, freight transportation and loading and unloading personnel to work in shifts for 24 hours, so as to achieve the container "arriving, unloading, walking and returning" and to minimize the container turnover time. In the face of the loss of front crane, gantry crane, site and other equipment caused by the coupling operation, the station set up an equipment maintenance team to eliminate more than 30 unexpected equipment failures in time, so as to smooth the container logistics transportation channel and fully assist the industrial chain in the resumption of production.
In the first quarter of this year, the station handled a total of 3566 container unloading vehicles, exceeding the total number of containers unloaded in 2019, providing strong logistics guarantee for local enterprises to resume production.
