You should know the common sense of carrying luggage by train!
Luggage refers to the bedding, clothes, personal reading books, disabled vehicles and other travel necessities for passengers' own use. Passengers can check luggage once for each valid ticket in the passenger section, and there is no limit to the number of disabled vehicles. The maximum weight of each piece of luggage is 50 kg. The volume shall be suitable for loading into the luggage car, but the minimum volume shall not be less than 0.01 cubic meter. For the goods that are restricted by the state, please provide the transportation certificate of the relevant competent department when handling the consignment. No valuables such as currency, securities, precious cultural relics, gold, silver and jewelry, and archival materials shall be carried in the luggage, and no goods or dangerous goods are allowed to be transported or restricted by the state.
1. How are packages classified?
There are four types of packages:
First class Parcels: newspapers within 5 days from the date of spontaneous publication; non-sales products for propaganda by the central and provincial governments; news pictures and textbooks for primary and secondary school students;
Class II package: emergency relief materials, books and periodicals, fresh or frozen fish, meat, eggs, milk, fruits and vegetables;
Class III package: items not included in class I, II and IV package;
Four types of packages:
(1) Radioisotopes in primary transport package, oil sample tank, motorcycle;
(2) foam plastics and their products;
(3) Other articles that need special transportation conditions as designated by the competent department of railways under the State Council.
2. What are the conditions for the package?
Package refers to small goods suitable for transportation in the luggage car of passenger train. The volume and weight of each package are the same as that of baggage (the maximum weight is 50kg. The volume shall be suitable for loading into the luggage car, but the minimum volume shall not be less than 0.01 cubic meter). For the goods that are restricted by the state, please provide the transportation certificate of the relevant competent department when handling the consignment.
3. What items can't be shipped by parcel?
The following items cannot be transported by parcel:
(1) Corpses, bones, ashes, coffins and articles liable to pollute and damage vehicles;
(2) Snakes, beasts and live animals of more than 20 kg each (except dogs and animals designated for transport by the transport order);
(3) Dangerous goods, ammunition and chemical products of unknown nature of the carrier as specified in the regulations on the control of dangerous goods issued by the State Council and the competent railway authority under the State Council;
(4) Articles prohibited by the state for transportation and articles not suitable for loading in luggage carts.
