Dalian Metro Line 2 is the first metro line built and operated in Dalian and the third urban rail transit line built and operated in Dalian. On May 22, 2015, phase I Project (Airport Station to conference center station) was opened and operated. On June 7, 2017, phase II project east section (Donggang station to Haizhiyun station) was opened and operated. On June 28, 2018, xinzhaizi station was opened and operated Deep blue. Dalian Metro Line 2 starts from xinzhaizi station in Ganjingzi District in the West and ends at Haizhiyun station in Zhongshan District in the East. It passes through Ganjingzi District, Shahekou District, Xigang District and Zhongshan District. It runs through the passenger flow distribution points such as Liaoning Normal University, Dalian Jiaotong University, Xi'an Road Business District, people's Square, qingniwa bridge business district and Zhongshan Guangchang. It is roughly east-west.
