Yanfeng express channel and Dafeng port railway branch line officially commenced

The Ninth Plenary Session of the seventh CPC Municipal Committee just concluded has made a new round of strategic deployment for the construction of "four new salt cities". On the morning of December 28, Yancheng held the commencement ceremony of Yanfeng Expressway (phase I) and Dafeng port railway branch line to accelerate the construction of modern transportation system and inject new momentum into regional development. Yanfeng Expressway starts from the elevated Wuyou hub in the urban area, passes through Wuyou street, biancang town and Liuzhuang Town, and ends at the South Station of Yancheng high speed railway, with a total length of 26.22km. The first phase of the project starts from the Wuyou hub, crossing Wuyou street by using the open Avenue line to the South and transforming to the newly planned Kechuang Road, with a length of about 4.6km. The main line Viaduct of the project is designed as two-way six lane road with a design speed of 80 km / h; the ground auxiliary road is designed as two-way six lane urban road section standard with a design speed of 50 km / h, striving to be completed and open to traffic in 2021.

Dafeng is a new coastal city of Yancheng. The municipal Party committee and the municipal government define Dafeng port as a modern logistics hub port. The construction of Dafeng port railway branch line is of great significance to further improve Dafeng port's collection and distribution system, highlight its location advantages and promote multimodal transport.
