At 15:25 on December 27, 42096 trains slowly left Xixiang station, marking the completion of the national and provincial key construction projects - Yangpingguan Ankang Railway additional second line project (hereinafter referred to as Yangan second line). The
Yangan second line is located at the south foot of Qinling Mountains in China. It is led from Yangpingguan station of Baocheng railway. It is 329.87km long from Mianxian to Hanzhong basin along Hanjiang River Valley, Xixiang and Shiquan, and from Hanyin to Ankang station along Yuehe River Valley. The project was started in July 2015. It is a national class I electrified railway with a design speed of 120 km / h, a planned annual transportation capacity of over 120 million tons and a long-term capacity of over 160 million tons. Yangan second line passes through the famous Qinba mountain area and Hanzhong Basin, with complex geological structure, many unfavorable geology and special rock and soil distribution; the new line and the existing Yangan line in operation are side by side, with frequent crossing and side changing. The construction of the existing railway has a long history, some tunnels are seriously damaged, and it is difficult to connect and reconstruct. At the same time, the line crosses Beijing Kunming Expressway with high technical requirements for construction and Bridge turning; the station building reconstruction project needs to connect different standards of OCS, signal, communication, power, etc. under the condition of ensuring normal operation, so the construction is quite difficult.
