First welding of 500m long track of China Laos railway of China Railway Erju

People's daily, Bangkok, December 2 (reporter Sun Guangyong) on December 2, 2019, when the Lao people celebrated the 45th national day, the first 500 meter long railway between China and Laos was successfully welded at the rail welding base of China Railway Erju Bureau in Vientiane, Laos. The

China Laos railway adopts seamless track, which needs to be welded into 500m long track after 19 times of welding. There are more than 32000 welding joints for the whole line. The successful first welding of 500m long track of China Laos railway marks that the welding base of China Railway Erju is officially put into production. It is a major milestone work for China Laos railway to enter the rail transit, laying a solid foundation for the laying of the whole track of China Laos railway, and pushing a new round of "dry season" offensive of Laos China Railway Co., Ltd. to a new climax.

China Railway Erju welding base of China Laos railway covers an area of about 136 mu, and undertakes the welding construction task of 500m long track factory along the whole line of China Laos railway. "We plan to weld 76 welding heads every day with a track laying mileage of 1km. In April 2021, we will complete about 32000 welding heads across the whole line." Ma Bing, director of the welding track factory, said.

"this is the first one machine double head rail welding machine in the world, which has more stable welding quality than the previous rail welding machine, and is the first time that China's technical design, China's technical manufacturing and pure domestic new equipment are used in the construction of the belt and Road railway." China Laos railway is 414.332km, including 411.197 ballasted track laid on the main line, 76.369 ballasted track laid on the station line, 255 groups of ballasted turnouts laid, 76.5km of guard wheel track laid, 3.917km of overall track bed laid, 1.1766 million cubic meters of primary surface ballast laid (section square), and 170200 cubic meters of bottom ballast laid (section square). Specifically, the project management department of molwan railway laying standard of China Railway Erju Group Co., Ltd. is responsible for the construction. The management department consists of two systems, i.e. production command system and logistics support system. The production command system consists of "one office, three fields and six teams", which is responsible for the specific construction arrangement of the whole line.

it is understood that the Mengsai Beam Yard and Vientiane Beam Yard of China Laos railway undertaken by China Railway Erju Xinyun Co., Ltd. have respectively realized the first T-beam system and the restoration of girder erection on December 1, which is a great tribute to Laos national day once again by China Railway Erju after the first erection of China Laos railway bridge on December 2, 2018.
