Lalin railway crosses the Yarlung Zangbo River for the second time
On December 1, the workers of the erecting team of China Railway 11th Bureau were laying the rails for the second time across the Yarlung Zangbo River on the Lalin railway. On the same day, the track laying of the Yarlung Zangbo River Bridge in Rongxiang, Lalin railway, which is located near Rongxiang, SANGRI County, Shannan City, Tibet, was completed. This is the second time that the Lalin railway has crossed the Yarlung Zangbo River. Rongxiang Yarlung Zangbo River Bridge has a total length of 4615 meters. The Lalin (Lhasa to Nyingchi) railway is 435.48 km long, with a design speed of 160 km / h. It is the first electrified railway in Tibet, crossing the Yarlung Zangbo River 16 times in total. Since the formal laying in October 2018, 114 kilometers of track laying has been completed, and the whole line is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.
