Hong Kong Railway Union: return to normal collection time of MTR on December 2 as soon as possible
The Hong Kong Federation of Railway unions quoted management as saying that if the facilities were not damaged again, the normal collection time could be resumed as soon as next Monday (December 2). In the storm of repair, the facilities of MTR station have been damaged many times, and the train should be collected early every day since October. According to documents submitted to the Legislative Council Subcommittee on railways, 85 of the 93 heavy rail stations and 62 of the 68 light rail stations were damaged between June 12 and November 24. In the station facilities, the access gate and CCTV lens were damaged more than 1900 times and nearly 1300 times respectively. The University Station was seriously damaged. At present, the road section of University station needs to be operated by hand, and only one train can run at a low speed. In addition to the relatively sparse shift, the driving time is also longer. The maintenance personnel have laid new optical fiber on the track, but the signal system needs to be tested, and it is estimated that it will take one to two weeks to resume normal service.
