Recently, the construction of the F2 line of intercity railway started, marking the beginning of the construction of Putian's first intercity railway

it is understood that the control project of F2 line of intercity railway is located in Putian station yard of section 4 of new Fuzhou Xiamen railway. As the project passes through the new Fuzhou Xiamen high speed railway, the motor car storage yard and the existing Hangzhou Shenzhen railway station, it must be constructed first to ensure the synchronous implementation with the ongoing Fuzhou Xiamen high speed railway. The total length of the project is about 601 meters and the design speed is 140 km / h. It is planned to be completed in 2022

it is reported that the total length of the first phase of the intercity railway F2 line from west Tianwei to Putian station is 23.2km, starting from west Tianwei University City in the north and ending at Putian station in the south, running successively along Lihan Avenue, Licheng Avenue, Liyuan Road and the 821 South extension line, with a total investment of 12.51 billion yuan.
