Sanjiacun tunnel of Yumo railway has been successfully connected

On November 25, staff of China Railway 18th Bureau Group celebrated the opening of the tunnel. On the same day, the sanjiacun tunnel of Yuxi Mohan railway, which was constructed by China Railway 18th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., was successfully connected. Sanjiacun tunnel has a total length of 3470 meters. Since the construction started in October 2016, the participants have overcome many adverse conditions, such as complex geology, changeful and shallow burial, to achieve smooth tunnel connection. Yumo railway is an important part of the Pan Asian Railway from Kunming to Bangkok, with a total length of more than 500 kilometers and a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour.
