Completion of substructure of the world's first high pier railway bridge

2019-11-14| Pandatrips | News

No.2 pier body of Yuanjiang double track super major bridge of No.5 section of Yuxi Mohan railway in Chengjian of China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. has been successfully capped recently, which indicates that the substructure of the bridge has been completed in an all-round way, laying the foundation for the main span steel truss beam frame closure The

Yumo railway starts from Yuxi City in Yunnan Province in the north and ends at Mohan, the border port between China and Laos in the south, with a total length of 508.53km. The Yuanjiang double track super major bridge is a key and difficult control project of the whole line. The bridge has 6 piers in total, the highest 3 pier is 154m high, which is equivalent to the height of 54 storey buildings, ranking the first in the world. This bridge is also the first large-span bridge built in China. The 249 meter main span of the through continuous steel truss railway bridge will also set a new record for similar bridges in the world.

China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. introduced that since the construction in October 2016, the Department has overcome the difficulties of complex topography, large-span cantilever erection, ultra-high temporary pier construction, and actively promoted the innovation of technical management and the innovation of the masses. During the construction, BIM Technology has been used to simulate the dynamic process, safety, progress and acceptance of bridge construction in a panoramic way to achieve three-dimensional intersection Finally, speed up the construction progress and ensure the safety quality to ensure the completion of the bridge substructure. In order to ensure that the bridge is more than 300 meters from the No. 0 abutment to the middle closure point, and the position error at both ends is not more than 5 mm, a set of monitoring and measuring system will be established in the construction. The total station and GPS equipment will be used to observe the linear change, and strain gauges will be installed on the members to sense the deformation degree of the steel beam, so as to ensure the accurate closure of the main bridge Up to now, the substructure of Yuanjiang super large bridge has been completed and the steel truss girder erection is in progress. It is expected that the main works will be completed in May next year. After the completion and opening of the Yumo railway, it will become another international railway channel in Southwest China, and will also end the history of no railway in Xishuangbanna. At that time, the bus travel time from Kunming to Xishuangbanna will only take about 3 hours, and it is expected that Kunming to Vientiane, Laos will arrive in the evening. (Wei Xiayi, Xie Xiaola)
