On October 29, three major railway projects, including Yongjin Railway (Jinhua section), Hangzhou Wenzhou Railway phase I (Jinhua section started first) and Yiwu Railway Station hub, held a centralized commencement ceremony in Yiwu, with a total investment of about 28.9 billion yuan.

Hangzhou Wenzhou Railway will build a New Wenzhou Yiwu section with a total length of about 201.4 km, of which Jinhua section will be 101 km long with an investment of about 15.9 billion yuan. After the line is led out from Yiwu station, Hengdian station is set up in Dongyang and connected to Yongjia station of coastal railway after passing Pan'an and Xianju. The construction of Hangzhou Wenzhou Railway is the key project to realize one hour traffic circle in Hangzhou metropolitan area, Jinyi metropolitan area and Wenzhou metropolitan area. The investment of the project is estimated to be more than 5 billion yuan. Among them, Yiwu Railway Station building, the core project, has a station scale of 11 sets and 26 lines, and after completion, the scale will be only second to Hangzhou east railway station.
