In the early morning of October 18, 2019, the Lancang River Bridge on olive dam of China Laos Kunming (Ming) Wanxiang railway, located in Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, was successfully closed, marking a breakthrough in the construction of the last bridge across the Lancang River from the domestic section of China Laos Kunming Wanxiang railway to Mohan port, laying a solid foundation for the completion and opening of the railway on schedule.

Lancangjiang bridge of olive dam is a continuous rigid frame bridge of arch reinforced prestressed concrete, with a total length of 495.65m, including a main span of 200m. The concrete consumption of the whole bridge is about 40000 cubic meters, and the steel consumption is nearly 6000 tons.
The closure of the main girder of the bridge has laid a foundation for the completion of the whole bridge construction. The whole bridge is planned to be completed in May 2020.
It is reported that the whole line of China Laos kunwan railway will be started at the end of 2016, and it is expected to be completed by the end of 2021. At that time, it is expected that the Kunming Laos Vientiane railway in Yunnan will achieve the "xi fa Chao Zhi", which will play a positive role in boosting the economic and social development of the two countries.
