Altay in October is full of beautiful clouds. At 6 a.m. on October 16, with the completion of the concrete pouring of Helong section, Xinjiang Altay Fuyun quasi east railway, the largest control project of the whole line, Kala plastic reservoir super large bridge was successfully closed.
The grand bridge of karaplastic reservoir has a total length of 981.49 meters, a main span of 270.8 meters, a side span of 140 meters, 56 pairs of cables and 112 cables. The main bridge adopts the construction technology of low tower cable-stayed continuous beam, which is the first long-span low tower cable-stayed bridge in Xinjiang. The closure of karaplastic reservoir Super Major Bridge laid a solid foundation for the promotion of the subsequent erection works and the opening of the whole line on schedule.
Afuzhun railway is one of the important parts of the northern passage of Xinjiang Railway. It starts from Altay station of North Arab line in the west, connects with Zhundong station of Wuzhun railway in the south, and forms the northern Xinjiang Railway ring line together with Kui Bei railway, Lanxin railway and Wujiang railway. It is a convenient channel for communication between Altay area of Northern Xinjiang and Urumqi.
Afuzhun railway is 427km long. It is a class I single track railway, mainly for freight transport and passenger transport. It is expected to open in June 2020. After completion, it will be of great significance to promote the development of tourism industry, mineral resources development, regional road network improvement and regional economic development in the areas along the line.
