The key project of Ge library railway is completed and put into operation.
At 13:15 on the 28 th, in the Mun, along with a series of "Fuxing" EMU slowly heading for the railway station, the railway station of the "Ge Fu" Railway (to the first phase) was completed and put into operation.
In recent years, the railway has continuously improved the "inner link" road network. And the construction of the railway (Hetian to Tien) and Ge library railway will bring about improvement for the people in the southern region. Korla is an important transportation hub and material distribution center connecting the southern and northern part of Xinjiang. The Korla Railway Station built in 1984 can no longer meet the transport demand.
The Korla Station, which was rebuilt and expanded on the original site, is the first railway station in China to adopt seismic bearings. It covers an area of about 15,000 square meters and can accommodate 3,000 passengers waiting for the train. Because Korla abounds in fragrant pears, the ceiling and guardrail in the station adopt "pear petals" as decorative elements, which have regional characteristics.
When Korla Station is put into use, it will not only meet the travel needs of people of all nationalities, smooth the logistics and transportation channels, but also inject new impetus into the local economic development. According to the data, from January to August this year, the number of tourist receptions in Korla City exceeded 5.1 million, and the tourism income was nearly 2.5 billion yuan, which increased by more than 70% and 88% respectively.
Luo Peixin, commanding officer of the railway construction command, said that the Ge library railway is the third exit railway line. The railway section of Ge Kwu railway is more than 700 kilometers long. It is expected that the Altyn Shan Tunnel will be completed in October this year and the laying work will be completed in June next year.
