During the summer transport this year, Beijing South Railway Station sent 10.748 million passengers, breaking through the 10 million mark for the first time. The peak of passenger arrival and delivery reached a record high in the summer of Beijing South Railway Station.
According to statistics, the number of passengers sent by Beijing South Railway Station during this year's summer transport increased by 937.5 million, an increase of 9.56%. The peak day of passenger dispatch was August 17, with 295,500 dispatches, an increase of 17.5 million, or 9.12%, over the same period last year. The peak date was August 18, reaching 225,000 people, an increase of 30.6 million people, an increase of 17.8%.
With the opening of primary and secondary schools in Beijing, the arrival volume of passengers at Beijing South Railway Station has been at a high level in recent days. In view of the actual situation of freshmen arriving centrally, the station cooperates with the volunteers from different universities to do a good job of receiving service, strengthen propaganda and guidance at the exit, and help freshmen to contact the volunteers in time. At the same time, provide travel strategies for freshmen and parents, recommend the best transportation routes for stations to major universities, introduce taxi, bus, subway and other ride methods, and provide convenience for freshmen to travel.
In view of the fact that there are more passengers arriving at night, the station will forecast the passenger flow after 23 o'clock on the same day. When the passenger flow exceeds 6000, the duty personnel on the day shall be organized to guide the passengers to depart and transfer at the entrance of the parking lot. At the same time, Wechat Traffic Information Platform is used to inform the Transportation Commission and other departments of passenger flow forecast in time, coordinate the opening of night high-speed rail express bus and "dragon cat" ferry, prolong the operation time of bus and subway, increase the operation density, and strengthen the night transport capacity guarantee of the station.
