Scavenging Beams in Summer, Wind and Rain

2019-08-28| Pandatrips | News

In the afternoon of August 24, with the completion of the last box girder erection in Dianzizhuang, Tianyong Expressway TY13 Project Department, it marks the success of the bridge erection of Village Road overpass in section K184+560 of TY13 Bid Department, No. 2 Company of China Railway 23rd Bureau Group.

K184+560 Dianzizhuang Village Road Flyover is 248 meters long and its 3# pier is 38.313 m high, which is the longest span and highest elevation of this benchmark section. The bridge consists of 6 pieces, 18 pieces of 40m pre-stressed concrete composite box girder, 3 pieces each. Located on the Loess Plateau, the bridge is severely eroded and ravines are vertical and horizontal. In addition, the recent rainy and cloudy Qingyang, Gansu Province, with hazy smoke, muddy roads and low visibility, makes the construction of the first Tianyong project with 40m box girders much more difficult.
