Dynamic monitoring of the longest heavy haul railway in China
The Haoji Railway (formerly known as the Menghua Railway), the longest railway project under construction in China, has begun dynamic testing, and the test train set has carried out dynamic testing of lines, communications, signals and catenary systems to prepare for the completion and opening of the whole line before October 1, according to China National Railway Group Co.
Haoji railway is more than 1800 kilometers in length, 120 kilometers per hour in design and 200 million tons of annual coal transportation capacity planned. It is a new strategic passageway for the national "coal transportation from north to south". According to the technical personnel of China Railway Construction and Electrification Bureau, Haoji Railway is the first freight railway designed according to heavy haul railway in China. The locomotive traction power is high, the reflux current of traction substation is large, and the maximum traction current is 2300 amperes. After opening, it will have the traction capacity of 160 carriages of a train. According to the calculation of 60 tons per vehicle, 320 vehicles with 30 tons of cargo capacity can be replaced by each train. In order to achieve high-strength traction, the contact wire used in catenary is changed from high-iron general magnesium-copper alloy to silver-copper alloy, which has better conductivity and higher traction power for locomotive.
