Wuchang Railway Station is located in Wuchang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. It was built in 1916. It has been called Tongxiangmen Station, Binyangmen Station, Wuchang General Station and Wuchang South Station. It moved to its present address in 1957 and was completed in 1969.
In 1890, Governor Zhang Zhidong of Guangzhou and Guangdong put forward the plan of building the Luhan Railway. In July 1897, the construction of Hankou-Lunkou section began. In September 1905, the northern and southern sections of Luhan Railway were connected near Zhandian Station in Henan Province. On April 1, 1906, the Luhan Railway was opened to traffic and was designated as the Beijing-Han Railway. In August 1912, the Wuchang-Changsha section (then known as the Hunan-Hubei Railway) started construction in Wuchang catfish sheath. Due to the change of design scheme, the starting station of Guangdong-Han Railway moved northward from Catfish Cover to Xujiapeng, but the original construction site in Tongxiangmen also built a railway station, known as Tongxiangmen Station. Tongxiangmen Station was relocated to Binyang Gate in 1936 and renamed Wuchang South Station after liberation. After the completion of Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge in 1957, it was renamed Wuchang Railway Station.
Wuchang Station is located in the middle section of Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, at the intersection of Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Wujiu Railway and Hantan Railway. It is a comprehensive station with passenger transportation as its main part and passenger and freight transportation as its concurrent operation. It was built in 1916 and officially opened in 1918. It was first called Tongxiangmen Station. In 1936, Tongxiangmen Station was abolished. On this basis, Binyangmen Station was established and later renamed Wuchang General Station. In August 1950, it was renamed Wuchang South Railway Station; in 1957, it was renamed the present name.
Wuchang Station is a passenger station (including Wuchang Railway Station). The Wuchang Line Signal Station at the foot of Snake Mountain in the north of the station jurisdiction area and the incoming station Signal Station on the south to the upstream line. Wuchang Station has launched its own star service brand: spring service brand. Wuchang Station has been established as the service brand of Spring Station in the society.
Xinwuchang Station, the largest railway station in Huazhong, opened on May 19, 2009
In January 1916, a station on Zhongshan Road in Wuchang was built. It was completed in June that year. It was called Tongxiangmen Station. This is the predecessor of Wuchang Railway Station.
After 91 years of ups and downs and vicissitudes of life, the narrow and humble railway station has become a magnificent station on the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway Line, that is, the largest railway station in central China, the new Wuchang Railway Station.
From 0:00 on May 19, the waiting room and platform of Xinwuchang Station have been put into operation.
The shape of the new station is full of Jing Feng and Chu Yun.
Walking to Xinwuchang Station, we found that the shape of the whole station was similar to that of the "Chu Palace". The tone of the station is silver-gray, and the exterior wall is inlaid with chimes, which is more characteristic of Jingchu ancient culture. In the waiting room, there are also huge stone carvings with Jingchu characteristics.
The roof of Wuchang Station is made of steel grid structure with a span of 72 meters. Beautiful arcs are drawn in the sky. The roof is made of Al-Mg-Mn alloy panels. The weight of the roof is 1/3 of the ordinary color steel. It can not only absorb sound and reduce noise, but also have a service life of 50 years.
12 waiting rooms can accommodate 8000 people
In the neat waiting hall of Xinwuchang Station, 7000 new silver-gray air chairs are orderly discharged.
The new Wuchang Station has opened six automatic escalators and arrived at the waiting hall on the second floor by elevator. Through the wide transparent glass wall on the second floor, we can see the train entering and leaving the station.
The newly opened waiting room covers an area of 11,600 square meters. Passengers can go to the corresponding waiting area according to electronic signs after arrival. "After the new station is opened, passengers will not be able to circle around the bus as they used to, but can take the elevator from the waiting room to the platform." Relevant people at the station said that the new station has 12 waiting rooms, which can accommodate more than 8,000 passengers at the same time, more than twice the size of the original. The ticketing hall of the new station has been put into use, greatly alleviating the crowding phenomenon during the peak period of spring transportation every year.
Raise the "umbrella" on the platform
Passengers used to boarding from the waiting room to the platform without any obstruction. Now, the platform without pillar wind and rain shed has been completed, passengers can get on and off the train to avoid the suffering of the wind and rain.
It is understood that the columnless awning is 486 meters long and 123 meters wide, and its shape is wavy, reflecting the characteristics of "Jiangcheng" in Wuhan. After the completion of the reconstruction and expansion project of Wuchang Station, there are five platforms. According to the new international standards, the appellation of the platforms has changed compared with the past. The first platform is the basic platform, which is called one platform; the second platform is called two platforms on the West Railway line, and the third platform is called three platforms on the East Railway line. The platform is called four platforms on the west railway line and five platforms on the East Railway line.
These platform planes are in line with the height of the train carriage, which makes it convenient for the elderly, children, disabled and other special passengers to get on and off the train.
It only takes 5 minutes from the waiting room to the platform.
It took about three minutes to walk from the ticket hall to the second floor of the new waiting room.
. On both sides of the hall, there are two elevators, which can be taken directly to the third floor. In the lobby on the third floor, the waiting room is 3-8 in turn. Passengers waiting here can reach the platforms directly through the footbridge, which is very convenient. Reporters from waiting room 5 to platform 3, less than five minutes.
"elevator substitution" in many places
Breastfeeding rooms, special elevators for the disabled, into the new waiting hall, compared with the old station, feel that the new facilities are more humane.
In the waiting hall on the second floor, the main waiting rooms are No. 1 and No. 2, as well as VIP and soft seat waiting rooms. On the left are "barrier-free waiting rooms" and "breastfeeding rooms" for mothers with babies.
The new Wuchang Station has also adopted many humanized facilities. For example, from the first floor to the second floor of the waiting hall, elevators are installed on both sides. On the second floor, automatic elevators are also installed between the pedestrian overpass and the platform.
The total investment of Wuchang Station renovation project is more than 600 million yuan. The former Wuchang Railway Station was a relatively backward one on the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway. After transformation, the station has become one of the largest stations on the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway.
All kinds of facilities of the new Wuchang Station should be improved, including traffic engineering such as station square, regional road and parking lot. The metro, bus and taxi which are matched with the new Wuchang Station are directly connected with the station. Passengers can transfer in and out of the station without crossing or barrier.
Railway hubs stand out
Relevant leaders of Wuhan Railway Administration believe that the status of Hubei Railway Hub is more prominent with the transformation of Wuchang Railway Station as the symbol. According to a 6031, Wuhan will have three special railway stations: Hankou Railway Station, Wuchang Railway Station and Wuhan Railway Station, which are rare in cities all over the country.
Wuhan regains its position as "the thoroughfare of nine provinces"
Today's people in Wuhan can already imagine a fast new life in 2013. By that time, the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway passenger dedicated line and the Shanghai-Hanrong Railway Expressway will all be opened to traffic. From Wuhan to all parts of the country by train, the speed is the lowest 200 kilometers per kilometer, the highest 350 kilometers.
The experts of the railway department have analyzed this new scene which is waiting for day by day as Wuhan will become a rare city with four railways in and out of east, west, north and South in China. There is no doubt about the status of the national hub.
Previously, Beijing-Zhuhai and Shanghai-Rongcheng expressways intersected in Han, forming Wuhan's pivotal position in national highway traffic. The newest "upgraded version" of the hub position is composed of Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway and Shanghai-Hanrong high-speed railway intersecting in the Han Dynasty. This is a brand new "golden cross".
In 2005, the State Council approved the National Medium and Long Term Railway Network Planning, and planned to build a "four vertical and four horizontal" Railway Rapid Passenger Transport network, in which Beijing-Wuhan-Guangzhou-Shenzhen passenger dedicated line, one of the "four vertical" lines, and Nanjing-Wuhan-Chongqing-Chengdu passenger dedicated line, one of the "four horizontal" lines, passed arm by arm in Wuhan. As a result, Wuhan has become one of the four major railway passenger transport hubs in China.
After the completion of the Beijing-Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line, the longitudinal axis of the "Cross", the distance between Beijing and Guangzhou will be shortened from 20 hours to 9 hours. At present, the Wuhan-Guangzhou section of the special line has begun construction in June 2005, and will be open to traffic next year. The section from Beijing to Shijiazhuang is also officially opened in June this year. Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Railway, an extension of Beijing-Guangzhou passenger dedicated line, started construction in December 2005 and opened to traffic in the following year. Shenzhen Futian Railway Station, one of the Hong Kong Section projects, also shoveled in August this year.
After the completion of Shanghai-Hanrong Passenger Dedicated Line, which is the horizontal axis of the Cross, the Sichuan Passage will be opened to end the history of no railway in Western Hubei. By then, from Shanghai to Chengdu, it will be up to 9 hours. At present, the Hefei-Nanjing section of the passenger dedicated line has been officially opened to traffic in April this year. Construction of the Hefei-Wuhan section started in October 2005 and will open next year. Construction of the most difficult section from Yichang to Wanzhou started in 2004 and is scheduled to open at the end of next year. The design of the Wuhan-Yichang section has begun, and it is known that construction will start at the end of the year and open to traffic in 2013.
Railway experts are very excited that Wuhan will once again become a thoroughfare for nine provinces. A 6031. In ancient times, people called Wuhan the "thoroughfare of nine provinces", referring to its convenient waterway, which can go up to Bashu in the west along the Yangtze River waterway, down to Wuyue in the east, and up to Henan and Shanxi in the north, and through Dongting, Hunan, to Xianggui. However, after China's reform and opening up, road, air and other modes of transportation are very developed, which makes Wuhan temporarily lose the advantage of communicating with the Quartet.
The construction of the national fast passenger railway network in the 21st century has re-endowed Wuhan with the new value of the "nine provinces thoroughfare". It is reported that after the Beijing-Guangzhou High Speed Railway and Shanghai-Hanrong High Speed Railway are opened to traffic, the speed of the railway will increase from 160 kilometers per hour to 250-350 kilometers per hour. With Wuhan as the center, cities such as Changsha, Zhengzhou, Nanchang and Hefei within 500 kilometers can take fast passenger trains for up to 1-2 hours. In places such as Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing within 1000 kilometers, high-speed trains can take up to 4 hours, of which Guangzhou only takes more than 3 hours. Relevant experts from the railway sector believe that this central advantage can hardly find a second one in the country.
In view of this special geographical location, the Ministry of Railways has planned Wuhan as one of the four major hubs for rapid passenger transport of Railways throughout the country, and established a depot for motor vehicles and a comprehensive maintenance base.
Wuhan has thus become a real railway hub. Relevant experts from the railway sector believe that Wuhan's status as a national hub is also rising as the two major passenger dedicated lines gradually take shape. Because of the four major hubs, there is no doubt about Beijing's status. The terminal hubs of Shanghai and Guangzhou are formed by the economic scale of the city itself, which is not convenient for expansion. Only Wuhan is a real link between the past and the next.
With the construction of Wuhan Railway Station for Wuhan-Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line, Wuhan will eventually form a pattern of three passenger stations in one city. At present, only Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou have this condition. At that time, Wuhan Railway Station will undertake the passenger flow of Beijing-Guangzhou passenger dedicated line. Hankou Railway Station will mainly be responsible for the passengers of East-West Shanghai-Hanrong Expressway, while Wuchang Railway Station will mainly undertake the task of freight transportation and ordinary train to form a ring-shaped Wuhan Railway Hub.
Developing a north-south "economic broadband"
, the change of space-time distance brought by traffic, will have a significant impact on regional economy.
Relevant experts from the railway sector believe that, from a macro perspective, the Beijing-Guangzhou passenger dedicated line will link up the developed regions around Bohai Bay, Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan, Wuhan City Circle, Changsha-Zhuzhou-Tan Urban Agglomeration, Pearl River Delta and other domestic economies. The convenient transportation directly brings about the acceleration of logistics and human flow, which has a tremendous impact on China's overall economic development. Eventually, an "economic broadband" stretching nearly 2200 kilometers across central, southern and southwestern China to Hong Kong and Macao will be formed.
Statistics show that the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway is one of the busiest transport routes in China's North-South Railway. Most mineral resources in Western and Northern China are transported by rail to the resource-poor Eastern and southern coasts. In 2004, the freight volume between Xinxiang and Zhengzhou on Beijing-Guangzhou Railway has reached 6.53 million tons, and the one-way passenger volume is 21.89 million. After the completion of Beijing-Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line, Lao Jing-Guangzhou Line will mainly undertake the task of freight transport, which will undoubtedly increase the capacity of North-South freight transport.
From this point of view, the formation of Beijing-Guangzhou passenger dedicated line and Shanghai-Hanrong Expressway, with Wuhan as the hub, enables 1000 km radius around Wuhan to travel on the same day, which will directly attract the investment vision of multinational companies at home and abroad. On the other hand, the coastal processing and manufacturing industry is moving inland. Wuhan has the advantages of raw material transportation and labor force. It is very convenient to develop manufacturing industry. At the same time, the huge flow of people has also stimulated regional consumption.
The shortening of space-time distance will also increase communication opportunities between Wuhan and surrounding cities such as Changsha and Zhengzhou. At present, the traffic between the three cities is not convenient. It takes at least 3-4 hours to travel by train between Wuhan and the two cities. If you take a passenger dedicated line, you can arrive in one hour.
